If you're having gray hair and dreaming of a chocolate brown hair color
but you don't want to use chemicals on your hair I am happy to tell you Nature has the solution for you: you'll obtain more than satisfying results on your white / grey hair using henna!
I'm tired of reading on important magazines like the italian "Donna Moderna" articles like this one: Henna doesn't cover white hair. It's an italian article, but using google translate you'll find out that essentially they say using henna on grey white hair you may only obtain a red / orange color. This article only misinforms people and it creates confusion, just because the main purpose of the article is to promote chemical dyes.
In the below video tutorial you may see an updated version of how to prepare & apply henna in order to cover your grey hair naturally & successfully!
The video tutorials are in Italian, but English subtitles are available!
Well, in order to debunk the myth according to which henna does not cover gray hair, in this post, you'll find not only my testimony with BEFORE & AFTER pictures, but also other women' experiences: they wanted to share with us the results they obtained by dying their white hair with henna and herbal hair colors.
Paid advertisements from the beauty industry lead the press to often choose to promote a product by misinforming people. They choose to do so also because they know that if people were more informed, we would all opt for the natural products our Nature generously gifted us with..
I have always thought that the right thing would be for everyone of us to be able to make our own choices, fully conscious of their pros and cons. Even though henna has its cons, not being able to dye gray hair is not among those.
Therefore, does henna dye gray hair or not?
In this photo you can see: my grey regrowth, the 75-80% of it being white (you can see it in the video belowas wellas I wanted to remove all doubts about the pictures' accuracy), on the left you can see my chocolate brown hair color obtained with henna (my white hair perfectly covered) while on the bottom right you can see the unique highlights that henna gives to my hair under the golden light of the sunset.
Quoting the article of the magazine I talked about at the beginning of the post, the author only says: "Henna does not cover gray hair, but it dyes it orange. And the final result might be an unpleasant surprise".
Yes, it can be an unpleasant surprise, but only if we give credit only to one source and if we do not deepen our research...
How to go from almost 100% grey hair to a medium brown hair color using henna?
It does not look like orange or red hair, isn't it?
Years ago, when I first started to be interested in herbal hair dyes, it was very difficult for me to find online clear and comprehensive information about them.
At the beginning, I was stuck too, because all my researches pointed out that white hair, after the henna application, would have become orange or red. So, since I didn't want to become a redhead, henna wasn't a valid alternative to chemical dyes, for me.
Fortunately, even though more than one source said that I decided not to give them credit and I continued my research all through the web and I figured it out.

Yes, it takes patience and determination in order to try to understand which are the perfect percentages and the right mix, both to dye our white hair and to obtain the chocolatebrown hair color we wish for.

So, will you help me debunk the wrong myth that "henna does not dye gray hair" or not? ;)
I recently tried the Organic Red Henna and Indigo in a two step method to dye my resistant gray root regrowth. This was my fourth time doing henna and my most successful! The previous times with a store bought Bio brand I only achieved colors from light brown to cooper when I wanted a deep black. I was starting to despair thinking I just couldn’t do it so I’m super happy that this time it worked! The products definitely felt superior in texture and the mixing and dye release was easy. I also found the blog and videos helpful. Thank you!
This is the best natural Henna and indigo to colour my hair.
I used to buy other henna products on the net but i had bad alergic reaction after using those products.
Thanks Beautylicious .
I never had an allergic reaction to this henna and indigo.I used
Some other henna products on the net and my scalp was sore for months. So I 'll keep buying Beautylicious products
Thanks a lot
I have been using it for a year or more. It is great, specially if you have problems with hair loss. I only use these natural herbal color treatment for my hair.
I tried many different organic hennas before and they never covered my gray hairs. I followed your video advice and henna recipe to make dark chestnut brown. The colour is beautiful and I couldn’t be happier. My gray hairs are light golden brown but since this is my first application with your henna I hope they will darken with more henna applications. Thank you so much 😊
These products exceed my expectations. I used a combination of natural, red henna and indigo and the results were amazing. I got my desire colour the second time that I applied the product, following the website video indications. Highly recommended. I have been using henna for more than 20 years and this is the best product I have come across. My only complaint is that the company needs to offer bigger packaging sizes.
I was intimidated at first to use the Natural Hair Color Cosmos Organic but after watching your video I jumped right in and did it. I am so very happy with the results and no allergic reaction. Thank you Thank you
Very good product. I mixed it with indigo I buy from this site and lawsonia I buy from a Moroccan shop. I haven't been able to get the exact colour I want from the mixture, nevertheless I know I will with some more trials. I'd like to thank Rozalia for her help with the video tutorials, they are so useful, clear and honest!!
I have been mixing cassia with henna and indigo to make gray hair brown for four years now. My hair is stronger and healthier than it has been since my teen years. I really think that it is attributed to this product line for hair color.
I have been mixing this henna with indigo and cassia to achieve great gray coverage for almost four years. My hair is healthier than it has ever been. I learned how to mix and use it on Beautilicious Delights you tube channel and blog. So grateful for the products and the information. 💕
